Atheer collects data to provide AI-powered hiring services to GCC organizations. We do not sell your data. Candidate data is used only for the hiring process you are participating in. You have rights to access, correct, and delete your data. Our AI assists human decision-makers but does not make final hiring decisions alone.

1. Introduction

Atheer Technologies ("Atheer", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who interact with our AI Hiring Operating System and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the Services.

We collect several types of information in connection with the Services:

Personal Identification Information

Name, email address, phone number, job title, company name, and other information you provide when registering or using our Services.

Candidate Data

CV/resume data, work history, educational background, assessment results, interview recordings, transcriptions, behavioral analysis scores, and hiring decision outcomes submitted through the platform.

Usage Data

Information about how you access and use our Services, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent, and actions taken within the platform.

Communication Data

Records of correspondence, support tickets, and communications with our team.

Technical Data

Device identifiers, cookies, session tokens, and similar tracking technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain our Services
  • To process and evaluate job applications and candidate assessments
  • To generate AI-powered hiring recommendations and analytics
  • To improve and personalize the user experience
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support
  • To send relevant product information and marketing communications (with your consent)
  • To comply with legal obligations under Saudi Arabian law, UAE regulations, GDPR, and other applicable frameworks

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

Contractual Necessity: Processing required to fulfill our contractual obligations to you or your organization.

Legitimate Interests: Processing necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as improving our Services, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.

Consent: Where you have provided explicit consent for specific processing activities, such as receiving marketing communications.

Legal Obligation: Processing required to comply with applicable laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the European Union (for EU data subjects).

5. Data Storage and Transfers

Atheer operates primarily within the GCC region. Your data may be stored on servers located in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, or other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate.

When transferring data internationally, we implement appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses, data processing agreements, and other legally recognized transfer mechanisms to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection.

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by applicable law. Candidate data is retained for a period of 24 months following the completion of a hiring process, unless a longer period is required by law or agreed upon with the employing organization.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

With Employers and Recruiters: Candidate data is shared with the organizations using Atheer to conduct hiring processes, as this is the core function of our Services.

Service Providers: We engage trusted third-party vendors to support our operations (cloud infrastructure, analytics, email delivery). These vendors are contractually bound to process data only on our instructions.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, or other applicable jurisdictions.

Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

With Your Consent: For any other purpose with your explicit consent.

7. AI and Automated Decision-Making

Atheer uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to assist in candidate evaluation, screening, and ranking. Our AI systems analyze CV data, assessment performance, interview responses, and behavioral signals to generate scores and recommendations.

Important: Our AI-generated recommendations are designed to assist human decision-makers, not replace them. Final hiring decisions remain with the employer organization.

You have the right to request human review of any automated assessment that significantly affects you. To exercise this right, contact us at privacy@aiatheer.com.

We continuously audit our AI models for bias and fairness across demographic groups, and we are committed to transparent, explainable AI outputs.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances
